GENERAL: The MENUDO.COM OFFICIAL MENUDO VISIT YOUR SCHOOL CONTEST (“Contest”) is subject to and regulated by all applicable laws in any nation, state or other jurisdiction. Participation in the Contest is void in every jurisdiction in which participation is prohibited by any law, statute or regulation. PAID, INC. and Menudo.com does not warrant that participation in this Contest is permitted under applicable law(s) in any jurisdiction. PAID, Inc. and Menudo.com may, in their sole discretion and at any time, modify and/or make changes to these rules.

The laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States of America govern these official rules and your participation in this Contest. By participating in the Contest you are agreeing to submit any dispute concerning your participation or this agreement to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in the County of Worcester, Massachusetts.

 

PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive one (1) Personal visit and performance at the Winning School; One (1) School winner will be chosen at the sole discretion of PAID Inc. and Menudo.com based on the highest number of official entries, and ability to host a performance by Menudo. Estimated value of the prize is to be determined based on location of performance.

 

HOW TO ENTER: Only one entry per person will be permitted and each entry must indicate your full name, mailing address, email address, birth date, phone number, gender, MySpace ID, and post your school’s vote on the Menudo MySpace page. You may register online by sending entries to contests@menudo.com with the subject line “2008 Menudo Visit your School Contest” or by mailing your entry to 4 Brussels Street, Worcester, MA 01610 Attn: "2008 Menudo Visit your School Contest.” Hard copies must be postmarked by Monday, October 27, 2008, in order to be entered into the drawing. The winner will be posted on Menudo.com. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. Once submitted, all entries become the property of PAID, Inc. the operators of Menudo.com, Menudo's Official Fan Club Web Site and will not be returned.

 

DEADLINES: The contest will begin on Wednesday, October 1st, 2008 and end at 12 p.m. EST on Friday, October 31st, 2008.

 

PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY: All contestants must be legal residents of the United States (except Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa and Northern Mariana Islands), Canada, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia and must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in the state or country you reside in (whichever is older). If participant is under the age of 18 (but over the age of 13), written parental consent will be needed before the prize shall be awarded. No one under the age of 13 shall be eligible & Paid Inc. shall remove any entries who are under the age of 13.

 

All eligible entries will be considered. Employees or agents of Menudo.com, PAID, Inc., Menudo or their respective subsidiaries, and other related companies and the immediate family members of such employees are not eligible to enter. The eligibility of all participants to receive prizes after winning Menudo.com sweepstakes and/or contests is subject to all of the provisions contained in these Official Menudo Visit your School Contest Rules, along with any other applicable guidelines or rules posted.

 

WINNERS AND NOTIFICATION: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entrants at the time of the selection. The Winners will be notified within three (3) days from the date of selection. The Winners will be notified via email, telephone and/or U.S. mail, and will have 24 hours to respond to PAID, Inc. and accept his/her prize. If a Winner does not accept his/her prize within 24 hours, then a substitute winner will be selected. Specific instructions about how the Winners will receive his/her prize will be conveyed upon acceptance. Winner may be required to submit valid identification and other information to verify eligibility prior to such delivery. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for any cash value, credit, or future Menudo.com promotions. Winners are responsible for paying any federal, state or local taxes on the value of any prizes received, and for any and all expenses in connection with use of a prize. If for any reason a Winner is found ineligible to receive a prize, the prize will be forfeited. Any fraud found subsequent to the awarding of a prize will result in the immediate revocation of the prize. All decisions made by Menudo.com with respect to the selection of Winner(s) are final. Winner will sign affidavit and waiver of parental consent to receive the prize if under 18 or age of majority in jurisdiction.

 

Except where prohibited, by accepting a prize package, a Winner consents to the use of his/her name, birthday message, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, and publication of his/her story for any purpose, including but not limited to advertising and promotional purposes for Menudo.com, without additional compensation, through any and all means and media, whether now known or hereafter developed, throughout the world in perpetuity. Nothing shall obligate Menudo.com to so use or engage in any of the above. By submitting any content to the Contest, you hereby grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free right and license to use, reproduce, display, perform, adapt, modify, distribute, have distributed and promote such content in any form, in all media now known or hereinafter created, anywhere in the world, and for any purpose. Furthermore, you thereby waive any so-called moral rights or other similar rights in your submission.

 

CONDITIONS AND LIABILITY: The Contest is subject to and governed by the Rules herein. By participating in this Menudo.com Contest participants accept and agree to be bound by these rules, the decision of the judges where applicable (which shall be final and binding in all respects). By participating in the Contest, you agree to be responsible for your own actions and to release Menudo.com, Menudo, PAID, Inc. and their affiliates, subsidiaries, and other related companies, and all parties' directors, officers, employees, and agents, including advertising and promotional agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the Contest or the acceptance, possession or use of any prize, including without limitation

(i) any condition caused by events beyond their control that may cause the Contest to be disrupted, postponed, cancelled or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest. All prizes are provided "As Is" and Menudo.com, Menudo and PAID, Inc. disclaims all warranties and conditions express, implied or statutory, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Menudo.com, Menudo, MySpace and Paid, Inc. is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected communications, for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete registration whether caused by the participant or an equipment or technical malfunction, or for any equipment or technical malfunctions or errors, including but not limited to hardware/software failure, lost/delayed corrupted data, interrupted modem connections, and so called system "bugs." Any communication that is illegible, incomplete or late will be disqualified.

 

TERMINATION OR SUSPENSION OF CONTEST: Menudo, and PAID, Inc.

reserve the right to halt the play of the Contest at any time and for any duration of time due to situations beyond its control such as strikes, acts of God, technical malfunction, etc. Menudo.com and Paid, Inc. also reserves the right to terminate the Contest at any time at their sole discretion by giving notice at Menudo.com. The Contest will terminate at 11:59 p.m. (EST) on the same day notice of termination is given.
